App Privacy Policy

This policy applies to the Noon mobile application available on iOS and Android.

1. Information We Collect

The Noon app is designed with a privacy-first approach. We collect minimal data:

• Usage Data — Anonymous, aggregated statistics about how app features are used. No personal identifiers are stored.
• Device Information — Device type, OS version, and language setting for compatibility and localisation.
• Location Data — GPS coordinates are requested only when you use the Prayer Times feature and only to calculate accurate prayer times for your area. This data is processed on-device and is never stored or transmitted to our servers.
• Feedback Submissions — Name and email address only when you voluntarily contact support.

We do not collect contacts, browsing history, camera/microphone access, or any sensitive personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

Any information collected is used solely to:

• Deliver accurate prayer times and Quran features
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Respond to your support and feedback requests

We never use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

3. Data Sharing

Noon does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share data with third parties except as strictly required by law.

4. Data Storage & Security

All user preferences and Quran reading progress are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers. Any data submitted through in-app forms is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.

5. Permissions

The Noon app does not use tracking cookies and does not participate in any cross-app advertising networks.

Noon does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction).

8. Your Rights

Depending on your region you have the right to:

• Request deletion of any personal data we hold about you
• Request a copy of any personal data we have collected
• Withdraw consent at any time

9. Third-Party Services

Noon uses the following third-party services:

• IslamicAPI.com — Prayer times calculation (anonymous requests, no user data sent)
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim — Reverse geocoding for location name display (anonymous requests)

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this App Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance.
